Basicly, we went over all the different types of tactics today.
1. Ambushes: We discussed the use of L shaped and I Linear ambushes. Both these types of ambushes were put to the test and seemed to work well.
2. Movement Tactics: We learned what types of movement worked best for us, and I'm pretty sure we have decided on using a diamond style. This formation seemed to work very well when we transitioned to our next tactics we learned about.
3. Countering/ Attacking: For countering an ambush, we learned how to do an effective leapfrog. We decided that the military version was not as applicable, so we modified it to a V shape. When we come into an ambush, the point of the V faces away from the enemy and we retreat by using a leapfrog/ bounding overwatch tactics. When we encounter a force we think we can take on, the V faces toward the enemy and we do a leapfrog toward them. These tactics seemed to work very well. We also learned how to combat an ambush/assault from the sides and rear of the diamond.

Here's some links for some more tactics: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/

If you guys have any other tactics, or tactical ideas, feel free to post it in these forums. Hope you guys had fun today and thanks for coming out!
