Re: Preparing for Deadfest
I should have some money laying around before the event, BB's seem like the thing to buy. Evike has a better deal though -
http://www.airsoftpost.com/matrix-10000-round-airsoft-high-grade-gram-p-24127.html
ASGI - $.003 per BB
Evike - $.027 per BB
Always good to save 3/1,000 of a cent!

Re: Preparing for Deadfest
On the subject of comms - Don't we all have radio's by now? I have one pair that's mine (Kind of crappy) and my dad has a really nice pair that I'll try to convince him to let me use. I may or may not have an extra radio or two.

Maybe Mr. Rockethound-with-HAM-license-guy could help you.

Re: Preparing for Deadfest
Rocket's got a HAM license, meaning he has extensive knowledge on the subject of comms. You should ask him to help you try to get those to work with regular radio's.

Re: Preparing for Deadfest
ATTENTION!
I will be arriving at Deadfest absolutely no later than 7:30 in the AM. Commander's briefing at 8:00, game starts at 9. I want us to all have at minumum one half hour to check in, register, and chrono before game time.
BRING WATER
I will have a large cooler with lots of water, but I expect all of you to bring at least 5 liters of water out to this. If you don't have a CamelBak or similar device, GET ONE. You WILL need it.

Also -
I'm bringing some good "Makes you want to kill people" music for this op. Ya know, to get us in the mood to slay bodies. There will be ABSOLUTELY NO DRAGONFORCE OR SLIPKNOT.
