Quarry Creek game 3/21

I hesitate to call this a mini-op, but it will be close.

Who: All are welcome. Everyone must have a signed waiver. Please print one out and bring it with you. (We will have some there, but it will really help to speed things along if you have them in advance.) Under 18 must have waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

This game will be loosely based on the ongoing actions in Afghanistan. There will be two major divisions of teams:

Coalition:
USMC: Desert Digital
US Amy Rangers: ACU and any other desert pattern
US Navy Seals: Multicam
and Afghan National Army (ANA). For some strange reason the ANA prefers traditional woodland camo, so anyone wearing that type of camo will be ANA. All other types of woodland-ish camo will be ANA.

Taliban/al Queda:
Any kind of civilian clothing is acceptable, but prefer something like this:


st Scenario: Downed pilot and Classified data recovery.

A US aircraft has been shot down and the pilot ejected safely, but must be rescued. Aircraft, which contains sensitive classified data, went down some distance away from where pilot landed. Both must be recovered and brought to extraction LZ. Coalition forces must rendezvous with CSAR helicopter at 1200 at the LZ. If they do not arrive in time they lose. If they arrive early, they must hold their position until 1200 and safely deliver the pilot and data to the pick up point. Pilot will be armed with a pistol only and if hit, can only be brought back in by a medic. If he is hit and not mediced back in within 5 minutes, it is a lose for the coalition. However, in the interest of fun, if he is KIA early, he will regen and we will continue the scenario, but it will still be a lose for the coalition. In the event that the pilot is hit and overrun by Taliban/al Queda fighters, and they can medic him within 5 minutes, they can take him prisoner, in which case, coalition forces must try to recapture him. If they do not medic him within 5 minutes, the pilot regens and returns to the custody of the coalition forces.

Taliban/al Queda must prevent this from happening.

Medic/regen rules for both sides (this scenario only)
There will be one medic per 10 players. Medic must have physical contact with downed player for 30 seconds to effect healing. If a medic cannot get to you within 5 minutes, you must regen. Regen is effected by walking away from the action 50 yards (that's 50 giant steps for most people, may be as much as 100 steps for rough terrain.) You should walk in a direction that will not take you through enemy positions. If you end up inadvertently passing trough any live enemy positions, you must start counting steps again from that point.

Double tap rule applies.

I recommend everyone have at least an inexpensive watch with a timer. Keep it set to 5 minutes and when you get hit just push the button.



2nd Scenario: Operation Clean House

Taliban/al Queda fighters are occupying a mountainous region north of Jalalabad. Coalition forces are tasked with completely eradicating them. If they have quick success, they must proceed to a second area and do the same. In this scenario, there is the possibility of a draw (just like the real world!). Coalition forces may succeed in cleaning the Taliban/al Queda fighters out of one area, only to have them pop up somewhere else. Only way for coalition forces to win would be if they completely controlled both areas. As they will be spread thin, this is unlikely. It will most likely become an ongoing game of "Whack-a-mole"! Therefore, winner of 1st scenario will determine the winner of the day.

Medic rules in the 2nd scenario will be the same as the first with these changes. Taliban/al Queda fighters will only have two lives in the first region. After the second time they are hit, they then must proceed to the second region. Coalition forces will not know where the second region is until they have cleaned out the first.

If Taliban/al Queda fighters are forced out of the 2nd area, they may attempt to return to the first.

Again for either side to win this scenario, they must control both areas.

You can try to convert to a semi-auto rifle. But I'n not sure how. Might want to chceck youtube.

Nathan, just FYI - I've been rolling with a gun that shoots 430 for the past several months. I always talk to the organizers and owners if possible to make sure it's okay to use, and usually have my engagement distance increased. But then, what's the point of a sidearm if I don't use it?


Also, since I ordered my ABU's on Saturday, I PM'd Steaditex on NTA and am awaiting on a reply from him as to which team ABU's will be placed on. Maybe if we get enough people with ABU's we can roll our own unit? That would be tight.

oh okay. then i guess i will be rolling taliban unless anyone has any useable camo that will fit a fat guy that i can borrow.

so if im rolling taliban then i just say im using street clothes?

i actually have some woodland bdu's but the crotch keeps ripping.

i also recieved my KWA m16 to day and with .28's its shooting throught the bottom of a coke can 3 inches away

i highly recomend .28's now because accuracy is amazing( easily hit targets 150-200 feet )

could you possibly bring the camo to school sometime this week nathan so that i can see if it is what i need?

Dude, that's around 450. If .2's can shoot through the bottom it's 400, so that bad boy is hotter then.. something very... hot? Oh well, good luck. f I were you, I fire on full auto for two/three bursts, then let the gun sit for about a week and let the spring compress. If that doesn't work, you could take the spring from your SCAR and put it in. Just my .2 cents.

Deadrag proved in one episode that the "coke can chrono" does not effectively work at all. I think it was episode 14 or 15.
