Yeah I did. I honestly didn't think it was that great, but the ideas were what counted.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry to say this, but I have to back out of the OP. I have an SAT prep that morning, and since my college career is on the line, I have to put that ahead of airsoft. Thanks for the understanding.

Re: Op Friendly Skies @ Quarry Creek Sep. 19
for those of you wondering ( i know jared was) the NTA DMR rules have decided to go on a case by case basis. this means it will be up to event organizers to set the DMR rules for their events.
the DMR rules for friendly skies are as follows:
450 FPS cap
Full auto allowed, but semi auto preffered
Mid cap mags only
50 ft minimum engagement.

$25 for a QC game=No way in hell. Every game ive gone to there something bad has happened to me and my guns.
Re: Op Friendly Skies @ Quarry Creek Sep. 19
Nathan, you should go. The field will be fine by then, and they are cordonning off portions to make sure we have more game time.

I'm In
I look forward to playing on the 19th even though I don't have a gun of my own yet. I looked at what they had to offer at Academy buy will likely get something off eBay once I understand a bit more about how they function. I like the co2 pistols and am also thinking about getting one of the cheep 250fps P90s off eBay and then reworking it to 400fps or so. I still know very little about how these electric guns work. I do know how to build co2 powered ones but i think that the electric ones have a lot of advantages over co2. I still have some research to do into it.
Re: Op Friendly Skies @ Quarry Creek Sep. 19
DO NOT i repeat DO NOT buy a gun off Ebay. That is the absolute dumbest thing to do. You will get ripped off DO NOT

Hey man, welcome to the forum! Please feel free to post in the AEG section, and we would be more then happy to answer you questions regarding a new weapon. However, this is a thread for the Quarry Creek game, which I'm happy your going to, but try to keep it about questions regarding that Op. Thanks again for checking us out.

Re: Op Friendly Skies @ Quarry Creek Sep. 19
here i would like to quote a post wyat made in the deadfest 2 topic. now i just cut and pasted this, so adjust dates accordingly:
Hey guys, do to the heat and level of difficulty of QC (Quarry Creek), I have safety guidlines I need to discuss. I have already called and told all of you, but if you forget and are to ashamed to say so, here's what I talked about in a nutshell:
Water:
Today is Sunday, the 14th of June. That means we have six more days until the Op: I need all of you to drink 4 galsses of water a day until the 16th, and after that day, three days leading up to the Op, you must drink 6 glasses a day. This will keep up from getting heat stroke or other heat related illnesses. Also, don't drink any soda for the next week. This will help retain the water you are drinking, as soda removes said water from your system. Here's a detailed outline of that:
14th-16th
4 glasses a day
17th-20th (Op Day)
6 glasses a day

Tyler, I would say meet at Blockbuster, and convoy there. That might be easiest. However, since I'm not going, you guys can do what you want. The address for QC is in our forum, and you can plug it into GPS/ Mapquest.

Re: Op Friendly Skies @ Quarry Creek Sep. 19
one thing i advise everyone to do is increase your sodium intake. salt (sodium) retains water, allowing for more of the water you drink to be stored for when you need it.

Re: Op Friendly Skies @ Quarry Creek Sep. 19
here is all the info wit hmedic rules and whatnot.
When: 19Sep09
Registration and chrono: 0730
Where: Quarry Creek, Field info: viewforum.php?f=77
Cost: $25
Waiver: HERE
Everyone must have a waiver. Those under 18 must have it signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Map of AO can be downloaded here: http://www.depot53support.com/FA/AO_Map.pdf
Situation:
Afghanistan, 19 September 2010: A U.S. Marine F-18 was shot down over southern Helmand Province near the Pakistani border. This came as quite a surprise and shock to coalition forces as the plane was shot down at a fairly high altitude indicating the use of sophisticated surface to air (SAM) missiles not known to have been possessed by the Taliban previously. US forces operating in the area have been dispatched to rescue the pilot and recover sensitive components of the downed aircraft as well as attempt to destroy any and all SAM sites in the area.
Objectives
U. S. Forces:
1- Locate downed pilot and escort him to LZ for extraction
2- Locate crash site and retrieve data recorder and demo remaining wreckage
3- Locate and destroy 4 SAM sites
Taliban:
1- Locate downed pilot and hold as prisoner or prevent US forces from rescuing him
2- Locate crash site and retrieve data recorder
3- Defend SAM sites
Uniforms:
US Forces- Any kind of camo
Taliban- Any civilian attire, absolutely NO CAMO of any kind
Regen and Medic Rules
Each side will have an FOB which cannot be taken by the enemy at which players may regen at any time. Medic ropes will be used by both sides. Each commander will designate one medic per 10 players. Each player will start with three knots in his rope. Each time a player is “killed”, a medic may revive him by untying one knot. Any other player may untie the knot of a medic. After all knots are untied, the player must go to a regen point at which time he may retie his three knots. There will be a 5 minute bleed out, meaning that if you are hit and a medic cannot get to you within 5 minutes, you must go to regen. If you are fairly certain a medic will not be able to get to you within the 5 minutes, you may proceed to regen, however, the 5 minutes waiting period must be done regardless of where you do it. If you proceed immediately to regen after being hit, you must wait the 5 minutes at regen before returning to play. Additionally, any SAM site that has not been destroyed may be used as a regen point by the Taliban. Any SAM site that the US forces destroy may be used as a regen point. The Taliban may choose to hold a destroyed SAM site to deprive US forces from using them to regen, however, they cannot regen at destroyed sites. They can also “camp” destroyed SAM sites. In other words, they can take up a position near the destroyed SAM site and shoot US players as soon as they regen. No one is allowed to “camp” the other teams FOB and may not shoot at any player within 100 feet of his own FOB.
Scoring
Each SAM site is worth 100 points
Pilot is worth 75 points
Black Box is worth 25 points
