Operation Cable Splicer at Quarry Creek March 6th!
"Admission will be $20.
Chrono and registration at 0800.
End off around 1600-1630.
I am going to hold off publishing the scenario (partly because i haven't written it yet ) for a bit, but I can tell you that there will be a "civilian" force and a military force. The civilians can wear any kind of civilian clothes they want and may wear one item of green camo, either blouse or trousers.
Military forces can wear any kind of desert camo, including Multicam.
Please start signing up in this thread and let me know which side you want to be on.
As soon as I get the full scenario written, I will update this post."

Bump for more info:
"Operation Cable Splicer
Disclaimer: This is a game. No political opinions of any kind are to be implied. And although some of the entities described herein do exist, nothing in this scenario should be construed as the implication of how things are or could become in the real world.
When: March 6, 2010, 0800
Where: Quarry Creek [see: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=3866&p=34678#p34678 ]
Admission will be $20.
Chrono and registration at 0800.
End off around 1600-1630.
Scenario
It is the winter of 2012. The expected economic recovery of 2010 faltered when several more large banks failed. Instead of economic recovery, the nation and much of the world plunged into a deep depression even worse than that of the 1930’s. As a result, civil unrest grew. There has been rioting in many parts of the country and local governments and police forces are overwhelmed. Due to these worsening conditions, Operation Cable Splicer has been implemented. This operation is basically an implementation of martial law. Military units have moved into all major cities and taken over local governments. They have rounded up large groups of citizens and herded them into concentration camps. Many citizens have resisted and gone into rural areas and formed militias to fight against what they see as a clear violation of the US Constitution.
One such militia, which calls itself Texans Against Oppression, or TAO, has established their headquarters in the hills outside of the town of Granbury, Texas. They are not considered to be a large or particularly dangerous group, but have been causing some trouble for authorities in the area. Therefore a platoon sized detachment from Ft. Hood (United States Army – “USA”) has been sent to flush them out and either kill or take them into custody.
The TAO is believed to only be armed with hunting rifles and pistols. They may also have access to explosives and may use them to make Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
UNIFORMS
The civilians can wear any kind of civilian clothes they want and may wear one item of green camo, either blouse or trousers.
Military forces can wear any kind of desert camo, including Multicam.
Special Game Play rules
There is going to be a unique feature to this op. In order to simulate the fact that the TAO is initially armed only with pistols and hunting rifles, all members of that side will start the game armed only with any kind of gas or spring powered gun. The only exception to that would be that full auto gas powered rifles/support weapons are also not allowed. They will not be allowed any rocket launchers to start with either.
In order to simulate the TAO fighters capturing weapons from the Army, they will preposition their AEGs at their base camp at the beginning of the game. Then, for each player from the opposing team they capture and bring to their base camp, one TAO player will be able to retrieve his AEG. If they capture a player who has a rocket or grenade launcher, and someone on the TAO has a launcher, then that may be brought into play.
Capturing an opposing player will be accomplished in the same way as at Op Tourniquet. This is done by at least two TAOs getting to a “hit” member of the US forces before his 3 minute bleed out. Each TAO will have to hold an arm of the person and escort him to their base camp. The prisoner may only be moved when TWO captors are holding an arm. The captured player must go peacefully and not try to escape, unless he is let go by both TAOs. He can then try to make a run for it, but if shot, must submit to capture again. An escapee may not try to shoot his escorts unless he makes it at least 100 feet way from his captors. Once he has been brought to the TAO base camp, he is released immediately and must proceed to either the US FOB, or the nearest Regen point and is considered “dead” until he does so (keeps dead rag on while in transit). If one captor is hit while en rout, the remaining captor may hold his prisoner at that location, but cannot move him unless another player on his side comes to aid him. If both captors are hit, the prisoner is free to go and is immediately back in play.

Re: Operation Cable Splicer at Quarry Creek March 6th!
I think so. Maybe woodland/ tan bottoms with black/ od/ tan shirts. That way, the Stephenville group can wear Vietnam, we can wear contractor, and the lazy people without camo can still go with us. I'm going to PM NukeDoc as to which side S&S will be rolling. Stay tuned.

Only downside is most of you don't have gas or spring secondaries that can get kills.

Re: Operation Cable Splicer at Quarry Creek March 6th!
Hey dude, that would be great!
Attention: LRU will be going U.S. = Desert/ tan uniforms. My reasoning is that it's cheaper to buy a new uniform then a new gun.

Re: Operation Cable Splicer at Quarry Creek March 6th!
You are more then welcome to bring the Mauser, however you don't need to. I would pick up some .28's for your gun. Also, check out some tacticool gear, as seen in our new players/ introduction area on the forum.

Re: Operation Cable Splicer at Quarry Creek March 6th!
Jake's correct. Make sure the boots are good! Don't skimp. Spend the money you have on boots instead of another uniform. The woodland and desert is enough for now. Use the rest on boots. Bellvilles, Oakley's, and Bate's are good. Check out this link: http://www.copshoes.com/c-assault-boots.html for assault boots and this: http://www.copshoes.com/c-desert-boots.html for desert boots. If you have the money, don't by Condor. They're cheap and won't last long.
Jake, we will be going desert, not contractor. Thanks for buying the uniform.
